about

(Update 1/2014....Falujah has fallen back into Al Quada control since the US pullout...so much for all the brave Americans that lost their lives liberating that hell hole of a city)

During the early part of the Iraq war I read a headline regarding the "pounding of fallujah" (Fallujah is a city in Iraq) by bombs from American aircraft and it always stuck with me. I'd initially planned on doing something with only percussion - and whatever abrasive noises I could create - but the guitar lick came to me and I felt it still fit the mood. All was done in my basement, and the two guitars you hear are actually an old beat up classical guitar I have. I mic'd it up, added some distortion, and there you have it. The Islamic chant you hear in the background is a traditional islamic prayer...not sure by who. Hope they don't sue me or chop off my head. As far as the political statement here...I'll leave that up to you to decide. This one is best experienced with headphones...umm.....loud.

This one is not so much a song as it is a blast of sounds and loops...though it's one of my favorite recordings to date. Primal...makes me want to throw a brick. Alternate title was "Allah be my Santa Claus", but it didn't make the final cut.

This one may emerge live with the band at some point, as we've started to work it up. Just need some lyrics...hmmmm....

about

Dave Boylan Boulder, Colorado

Thanks for visiting us online. Managing songs is like herding cats...old revisions, new revisions, added a solo here, a backing vocal there, blah blah blah. Hoping to update this as we finish the songs...always a few in progress. Look for some country'ish stuff over the next few months. Yee-Haw.
Thanks.
